Dennotation/Connotation Of Skins Posters.

In the reading for the skins poster you can see the characters seem very mature in their faces despite the fact they are meant to be around the ages of 16-18. They are not fully dressed, and the poster seems to be inappropriate to the audience that they are aiming at which are teenagers because in the first poster , the person in the bath seems to be nude and this is normal but not normal to be neccesarily put on a post for a tv programme aimed at teenagers. In the second poster we can evidently see that the teens are careless teenagers as most them seem nude and are either interacting in a sexual way with a boy or girl. This sort of poster is sending out an bad image and bad influence to their aimed audience.

Additional Props.

For the additional props in the first image it clearly shows an boy looking as if he is trying to commit suicide.This could show tot the audience that the boy evidently has issues effecting him in his everyday life for him to be posed in an image where it gives the audience the impression he is trying to commit suicide.In the second image, everyone in the image seems to be engaging in some sort of sexual act or nude act. We have the main person that stands ou of the image which is the female in underwear and people around her that seem to be getting it on. Then we have an boy in the background of everything that is going on sitting in the bed by himself, looking very hopeless and left out from what the others are doing. The boy in the background seems to be looking on at what is going on rather than engaging or joining in with these careless teenagers. He doesn't seem to be as careless as these other teens in the image even although he is posed naked in a bed.

Settings

In the first image the setting is evidently in a bathroom as the main feature of the image is an boy in a bath filled with water.The enviroment of the bathroom seems to be very dirty, unhygenic and not cared for.This could show that the same way the bathroom is not cared for is the same way the boy in the bath tub does not care for himself and this could be an reason to explain why he is attempting to commit suicide.

In the second image we can see about eight teenagers crammed in on small room obviously living the wild party typical freedom lifestyle.

Interior Design

In the first image the bathroom is once again as i mentioned before dirty and not in order. Theres a shaving stick,soap bar and some sort of bottle of liquid on the side. In any normal bathroom these sort of things shouldn't be on the side and should be in order.The interior of the bathroom wall seems to be distorted and has some sort of cracks in it.Almost as if it is an abandoned bathroom.The second image backs up 'living the wild party typical freedom lifestyle' because the wallpaper on the wall all over seems to be torn and messy and clearly dirty,which shows no sign of parents or guardians around these teenagers.

Colour

The colours of both images are not bright and neither have they been put in monochrome however the images have a destaturated colour almost like a dead effect showing that all hope is loss for the teenagers in these images.The destaturated image also comes across as an very moody,depressive colour.

Lightening

The lightening in boths images are very dim and there doesn't seem to be any light pin pointed only one person out of the image. This shows us that the image is about everything that has been included in the image.The light being dim in the image shows that there is no proper life or good things going on inside both of these images.

Conclusions
Both images show some sort of negativity. From the interior design of the image which isn't very friendly to the enviroment of both images. The colour of both images showing us there is no real life to what they do and everything that is going on in both images come across or are portrayed in a negative way. Their skin posters can come across as disturbing,rude, insulting(to people who have teenage kids),inappropriate and also offensive as everything that is going on in the images are very inappropriate.
